The other day I was driving home, fighting my way through another nearly two hour trek home. This particular week I'd been jumping between all shifts to finish a work project and it left me more than a little exhausted. Then a song came on the radio, one of those songs that has just the right combo of tempo, guitar riffs, lyrics, etc. For whatever reason it just clicks. I immediately perked up, nearly to the point were I just wanted to drive along the center median, right foot pushing the accelerator thru the floor board to coax every little ounce of horsepower out of the engine to pull ahead of the rest of the 'sheep' in the flock. Of course I didn't.

My point is, certain songs give me that little extra kick. In this case it was Ram Jam's 'Black Betty". I'm no music expert, but it's got some kind of bluesy-rock rythem thing going that just makes me want to roll the windows down and punch it. So I started looking these songs up, the ones I could think of or remember. I'm sure there are more, but they only come to you when you catch it and say to your self " Oh yeah! I love this song."

For what it's worth, here is my 'current' List of Cruisin' Songs. Some could potentially come and go, but the top five are keepers.
